Vivo is getting ready to launch a new smartphone in India, and this time the main focus is not just on the camera or design. The upcoming Vivo S2 FE is expected to bring a massive 10,000mAh battery, a 1.5K AMOLED display and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor.
Interestingly, the phone looks very similar to the Vivo V80 Lite 5G launched in Malaysia. The Malaysian V80 Lite comes with a 10,000mAh battery, 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, 50MP Sony camera and Dimensity 7300e chipset.
Vivo has confirmed that the S2 FE will launch in India on October 6, 2026, alongside the Vivo V80. The phone will also be available through Flipkart.

These specifications are based mainly on the official Malaysia V80 Lite 5G specifications and current information surrounding the Indian Vivo S2 FE. Final India specifications should be confirmed by Vivo at launch.
Design: Big Battery But Still Slim
The Vivo S2 FE could be an interesting phone for users who want a large battery without carrying a very bulky smartphone.
The Malaysian V80 Lite measures just 8.59mm in thickness and weighs 224 grams, despite packing a 10,000mAh battery. It gets a plastic composite back and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.
The rear camera design is also different from many Vivo phones. Vivo calls it a Floating Crystal Camera Module, where the camera lenses sit inside a clean-looking rectangular module.
For India, the leaked Vivo S2 FE design also looks very close to the Malaysian V80 Lite, especially the green colour and rear camera setup.
Display: 1.5K AMOLED With 120Hz Refresh Rate
The display is another strong part of the phone.
The Vivo V80 Lite comes with a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 2800 × 1260 pixel 1.5K resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 449ppi pixel density and up to 2000 nits HBM brightness. The panel also supports P3 wide colour gamut and HDR10+.
For normal use, this means scrolling should feel smooth and the display should be comfortable for watching YouTube, Netflix and other videos.
The 1.5K resolution is also a nice upgrade over standard Full HD+ panels, especially on such a large 6.83-inch screen.
Performance: Dimensity 7300e 5G Processor
The Vivo S2 FE is expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G processor.
The Malaysia V80 Lite uses the same chipset. It is a 6nm octa-core processor with four cores clocked up to 2.5GHz and four efficiency cores up to 2.0GHz. The phone also uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Vivo claims up to around 940,000 AnTuTu score for the V80 Lite under its testing conditions. The phone also gets a large 3,800mm² vapor chamber cooling system, which should help during gaming and other heavy tasks.
For daily use, the chipset should be more than enough for social media, multitasking, streaming and regular gaming.
For serious gamers, however, the actual BGMI and COD performance will depend on the game’s supported frame-rate settings and Vivo’s software optimisation. So I would wait for the final India unit before giving any exact FPS claim.
10,000mAh Battery Is the Biggest Highlight

This is where the Vivo S2 FE can become different from most phones in its segment.
The Malaysia V80 Lite packs a huge 10,000mAh battery with 4th-generation silicon-anode technology. Vivo says the battery is designed to retain at least 80% capacity after 1,400 full charge cycles under its laboratory testing.
The official specifications list the battery as 10,000mAh typical capacity, with a rated capacity of 9,800mAh. It supports 44W FlashCharge and reverse charging, so the phone can also be used to charge another Type-C device.
Vivo also claims up to 30 hours of binge-watching and 14 hours of MLBB gaming in its lab tests. These numbers should not be treated as normal real-world battery life because actual results depend on brightness, network, apps and usage.
Still, a 10,000mAh battery is a big advantage for users who travel a lot, use mobile data throughout the day or simply do not want to charge their phone every night.
Camera: 50MP Sony Main Camera

The Vivo S2 FE is expected to offer a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera along with a 2MP bokeh camera.
The Malaysian V80 Lite uses this exact camera setup. Vivo says the 50MP Sony sensor is designed to capture detailed and natural-looking images.
There is no ultra-wide camera here, which could be a drawback for users who regularly shoot landscapes or group photos.
On the front, the phone gets a 32MP selfie camera. The Malaysia model supports a 90-degree field of view, which should be useful for group selfies.
The camera hardware looks good on paper, but the real question will be image processing. Vivo phones generally put a lot of focus on skin tones and portrait photos, so the India version will be interesting to test.
Software and AI Features
The Vivo V80 Lite runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6, and the Vivo S2 FE is expected to follow the same software setup in India.
OriginOS 6 also brings features such as Origin Island, AI Creation, AI Captions, AI Erase and Drag & Go. Vivo’s AI features can be useful for removing unwanted objects from photos, generating or editing content and transcribing or translating audio.
This is one area where Vivo has improved compared with its older software experience.
IP68 + IP69 Protection
The phone is also expected to offer strong durability.
The Malaysia V80 Lite has IP68 and IP69 ratings, and Vivo says it has passed five MIL-STD environmental tests covering conditions such as high and low temperatures, rain, sand and dust, and shock.
However, this does not mean you should intentionally take the phone underwater. Vivo itself says water resistance can reduce with normal use and liquid damage is not covered under warranty.
Vivo S2 FE India Price
The official India price has not been announced yet.
A recent leak claimed a 6GB + 128GB variant with a box price of ₹34,999, but this should not be treated as the final selling price.
The actual price and available variants should become clear at the India launch on October 6.
Is Vivo S2 FE Worth Waiting For?
On paper, the Vivo S2 FE is going to be an unusual Vivo smartphone.
Instead of focusing only on a slim design or camera, Vivo is giving it a 10,000mAh battery, 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 7300e processor, 50MP Sony main camera and IP68/IP69 protection.
The biggest question will be its price.
If Vivo keeps the price competitive, the S2 FE could be a strong option for users who want maximum battery life with a good display and decent performance. But if the price goes too high, the Dimensity 7300e and LPDDR4X/UFS 3.1 combination may make the phone less attractive against newer performance-focused smartphones.
For now, the battery is clearly the biggest reason to keep an eye on the Vivo S2 FE.
Vivo S2 FE: Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Huge 10,000mAh battery | No ultra-wide camera |
| 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display | 224g weight |
| Dimensity 7300e 5G | LPDDR4X RAM |
| 50MP Sony main camera | UFS 3.1 storage |
| IP68 + IP69 rating | Final India price is still unknown |
| 44W fast charging | |
| Android 17 + OriginOS 7 |
Final Verdict
The Vivo S2 FE looks like a phone made for people who hate charging their smartphone again and again.
The 10,000mAh battery is the biggest attraction, while the 1.5K AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP Sony camera and Dimensity 7300e give it a decent overall package.
But the final verdict will depend heavily on the India price. If Vivo launches it at the right price, the S2 FE could become an interesting option in the Indian market.
The good thing is that we don’t have to wait much longer. Vivo has confirmed the India launch for October 6, 2026, so the final price, variants and complete India specifications should be clear soon.
