Starting with the design, I actually like Samsung’s new design language, especially the color options. Yes, the frame is plastic, but I really like Samsung’s signature design on its smartphones. Although the Galaxy A27 has a plastic frame, it still looks very good and does not feel like a cheap phone.

The Samsung Galaxy M47 offers better value in the same price range and is around ₹4,000–₹5,000 cheaper because it is an online market device, and online smartphones are generally priced lower than offline models.

Samsung provided an IP67 rating on the Galaxy A26, but this time the Galaxy A27 comes with an IP64 rating, which may disappoint new users. Another major change is that the Galaxy A26 had an in-display fingerprint sensor, whereas Samsung has provided a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy A27.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. The colors look good, and the outdoor visibility is also decent. However, Samsung has disappointed users with the bezels, as the bottom bezel is thicker than expected. The Galaxy A27 does not support HDR, HDR10, or Dolby Vision. These missing features may disappoint customers even more.

Talking about performance, the Samsung Galaxy A27 does not perform as well as many other smartphones in the same price segment. Even with 8GB of RAM, you may notice slight lag while multitasking, and the phone also falls short when it comes to gaming performance. Despite the recent price increase, smartphones from OnePlus nord 6, Redmi turbo 5, and Nothing phone 4(b) offer better performance at a lower price.

Talking about the software, Samsung is providing 6 generations of Android OS updates and 6 years of security updates with this phone. This is a plus point compared to Samsung’s other phones. The phone comes with One UI 8.9, which is based on Android 16. Since the UI is heavy, the phone’s processor feels a bit slow.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 comes with a 5000mAh battery and 25W fast charging support. The battery capacity is quite small compared to many other phones in this segment. If your phone usage is not very heavy, a single charge in the morning can easily last the entire day. However, if you use your phone for most of the day, you may need to charge it twice a day.

One thing that feels very disappointing about this phone is that Samsung still does not include a charger in the box. You have to buy the 25W adapter separately, which costs around ₹1,000.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 features a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it comes with a 12MP selfie camera. The main camera captures decent images and delivers some of the best photos in this price range. The ultra-wide camera also takes decent photos, although it is limited to 8MP. The selfie camera also captures decent photos. Talking about video recording, you can shoot in 4K at 30fps, and 1080p video can also be recorded at 30fps.

If you are looking for the best smartphone in the ₹35,000–₹40,000 price range, you can find better options than the Samsung Galaxy A27 with a better camera, better performance, and a better design.

Some phones that we recommend include the Samsung Galaxy A36, which is already available on Amazon and offers better performance, better quality, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an AMOLED display. Another good option is the OnePlus Nord 6. You can also find many good options from Xiaomi and POCO that perform better than the Samsung Galaxy A27. If you want to stay with Samsung and prefer a newer model, you can consider the Samsung Galaxy M47, which is available for around ₹33,000 to ₹40,000 through Samsung’s online store and Samsung offline stores.
